Faaker See – spomini /memories

Last year we went on a weekend trip in Austria. Their Faaker See is near and very beautiful. We didn’t have time to wright a blog so this is just some memories in photos. I won’t forget breathtaking views, The barefoot road in forest, private beaches with no access for tourists, nice forests and the lack of time to visit and climbing all the mountains around the lake. You can see few photos bellow – it can be a great family getaway, there is plenty things to do with children – from Monkey mountain (affenberg) to barefoot road in the forest (the red line of the road is a fairy tale about a dragon) etc. Enjoy!😉

Tokrat smo obiskali samo bližnje lokacije – Kamnik, Arburetum Volčji potok in Gradiško jezero. Komaj čakamo nove dogodivščine in pripenjamo dva mala utrinka. Pozdravček!😊

Cycling Parenzana (Italy – Slovenia – Croatia)

Hello again!

Last week we went on a bike tour wich starts in Italy (Trieste) and is lined trough Slovenia and Croatia to the city called “Poreč”. It used to be train road there in the history. You can read more about it HERE. On this official website you can also find maps and plans for the trip (either you want to cycle the path in two, three, four or five days). It is 123 km long with some amazing tunnels, bridges and viaducts.

We started cycling in Italian city called Muggia because there is a lot of traffic in Trieste so we avoided typical Italian drivers.  😛

First day we drove from Muggia (Italy) to Grožnjan (Croatia) where we slept. It is an amazing, calm, small city wich is known for its artistic residents.

In day two we made it to Poreč (Croatia). Time for a jump in the sea! 🙂 An amazing cycling trip, I recommend it to everyone! 123 kilometers, one flat tire, hundred amazing views, six tired asses, few drops of rain and a ton of laughter! 🙂

Thank you for reading. 😉 It’s a pleasure to share my adventures with you all!

Vintgar (near Bled, sLOVEnia)

After work we take a short trip to Vintgar … It was a great place to relax, to enjoy the beauty of nature … HERE is the official site. Vintgar is very close to lake Bled wich is one of top 10 tourist attractions in Slovenia, so Vintgar is not so crowdy, because not a lot of tourists know about it. The temperature is great for summer days.

Great place to chill! 😉 Thank you for reading. 😉

Weekend getaway – Pula, Fažana (Croatia)

Weekend getaways are my favorite. People are complaining about not going anywhere but when the weekend comes they lay in front of tv – If we are free, we are definitely not at home. Exploring new things is amazing and it broadens your mind, challenge your brain and soul in every way and … It makes you feel alive, it carries a million questions about life, it learns you tons of stuff so … Our last getaway was Fažana with our beloved friends. The weather weren’t so good but we still had great time.

Here are some photos of a cute little town beach – Fažana.

And more popular and known – Pula. We went there to see the Roman amphitheater. You can find interesting details of Pula history HERE.  🙂

Hiking – Raduha (2064 m – Slovenia)

Since I am so busy these days, Saturday was the best – hiking a mountain Raduha, spending all day in nature. The path is great, you can choose from “difficult path” or “very difficult path”. We went up trough very difficult and down trough difficult. The view was awesome!

On the way up…

The peak itself 🙂

Lanež

This is the mountain half an hour away from Raduha -it has a small edition of “Aljažev stolp” on it. You can find the real “Aljažev stolp” on Triglav – Slovenian highest mountain. 🙂

Grohat

On the way down,  we stopped at mountain meadow “Grohat” for some food and the great view of the mountain we just have been on. The staff is very friendly, kind and talkative. The food is amazing and not expensive at all! We drank Radler & apple juice and we ate 2 dishes “Ajdovi žganci” & “ješprenj” and we only paid 12 €! 🙂

This was amazing day, I recommend this hike to all mountain lovers out there. 😉

Short hike in my hometown (Slovenia)

It is great “the end of work day” hike – it’s short, sweet and not too hard. 😉 It starts in Kamnik – with the view of “Mali grad” or in English: Small castle. 🙂
IMG_20170506_173558

The path is nice, with a litlle bit of magic aside:

First stop can be “Stari grad” or in English. “Old castle.” There are remains of an old castle and you can order a drink too.

15  minutes more of brisk walk and you can see the whole city of Kamnik from “Špica”. 🙂

I hope you find the time today for a hike, exploring something new or just have fun in any way you like. Nice weekend y’all! 😉

Malta in May – day 7 (Ghajn Tuffieha bay)

Last day – time for some rest after all the hikes and wandering around. First, we visited the Golden bay.

Than we went for a short walk to Ghajn Tuffieha bay – we spent the time swimming, playing cards & reading a good book. 🙂 In the evening we went to say good-bye to our Malta scout friend – Gail. — Thank you so much for everything… I think you can never feel the culture if you don’t talk and bond to a native. 🙂

Malta in May – day 5 (Gozo)

We talked about Malta and Comino and on day 5 we visited the third island – Gozo! 🙂

You get on ferry from Il Ćirkewa and the ticket cost 4, 65 € both was – there are some differences if you travel at night-time, if you have a car/a bike … The problem is that all the buses on Gozo drives once an hour and it all takes you back to its capital – Rabat/Victoria, where you can catch another. Again – we walked a lot! 🙂

Here are some highlights of our trip:

mushroom island

This is all in Dwejra bay. 🙂 From there we went to Ramla bay – one of island most favourite beaches with red/oker sand.

And from there we went for a really long hike – WARNING – paths are misleading. It looks like there is a path even application “Maps.me” (it’s navigation where you don’t need internet connection – great app for all the travellers!) says so. You can walk up to several kilometers when the path ends or it is full of rocks, thorns and other difficulties. But it was a great adventure! 😀
